About me:

I’m originally from Cornwall, in England, and I’ve been in America since 2005. As an instructor, I am ranked in the Golf Digest 50 Best Teachers list and Top 100 Teacher by GOLF Magazine. I am usually found working with serious golfers and serious golf addicts. My greatest pleasure is helping golfers overcome slumps and becoming the best version of themselves. There is a way to become the golfer you think you are.

Whilst I feel that my students have breakthrough successes each day, the more notable successes are teaching players who achieve their goals—whatever they are. It is just as important for the club player to be competitive in his or her flight as it is for a college player to earn professional status and for a tour player to win for the first time. 

I have coached winners on 6 major professional tours.

As a developmental coach two of the young players that I worked with for multiple years made it into the worlds top 50 - Bernd Wiesberger and Jazz Janewattananond.

I have worked with many notable players, major winners, former world # 1’s, more than 50 PGA Tour, LPGA, DP World Tour and other tour players. I enjoy teaching young golfers and have helped dozens of competitive juniors earn college scholarships, and some have moved from college golf to one of the professional tours.

In addition to providing expert coaching, I have more than 20 years experience as an elite clubfitter, and I have presented coaching principles and golf research all over the world at events like the GOLF Magazine Top 100 Teachers Summit. As a researcher, I’ve been at the forefront of integrating technology into golf coaching. With Phil Cheetham and Dr. Sasho Mackenzie, we’ve created the first system for measuring and defining the grip. With Mike Adams and Dr. Mike Duffey, we measured the way players shift during the swing and how that shifting style can be optimized for different players based on their physiology for more POWER!. I’m excited to be working with Sportsbox AI as a golf advisor, helping that startup bring 3D golf instruction to the masses in the form of a smartphone-based swing analysis app.

As an author, I have appeared in Golf Digest, GOLF Magazine and numerous publications around the world. My first book, with Mike Adams and Golf Digest’s Matthew Rudy, will be released in late 2022.

I am based at Hudson National GC, NY which is 40 minutes north of Manhattan, during the winter I teach schools nationally and internationally, I give lessons in the Phoenix area at Cool Clubs, Sunridge Canyon GC, Jupiter & Miami, Fla., The Bay Area and in Hawaii.
